Twisters Elite teams travelled to Memphis, TN for the adidas Mid-South Qualifier.

The 16U team lost in the Championship game to Baton Rough Amazons by 3 points to be the runner-up for Platnium Division. Thus qualifying that team for the Super 64 National Championship in Las Vegas, July 28 - 31, 2008.

MGM TWISTERS AAU TEAM ATTENDS THE ESSENCE GIRLS BASKETBALL CLASSIC

 

GAINESVILLE, FL- The MGM Twisters 16U attended the Essence Girls Basketball Classic in Gainesville, FL over the weekend of March 28-30 were they played several elite teams from Florida.

The Twisters went 1-2 this weekend. They were the only 16 U Alabama team in attendance in the 21 team 16U division. The Twisters played three games. The Twisters beat the Florida Eagles in their first game but loss the last two games. The highlights are as follows:

            MGM Twisters 41            Florida Eagles 38
Katie Martin (Alabama Christian)- 24 points and the game winning 3 pointer
Alondra Gray (Carver High School)- 10 points
Shayla Ledyard (Lee high School)- 7 blocks

The MGM Twisters are tentatively schedule to attend the North Alabama Classic this upcoming weekend April 4-6 in Huntsville AL.
